1 tbs coconut oil

  3. Combine and top with cacao if desired

Cacao is packed full of flavonoids (a group of naturally occurring chemicals in plants that have a variety of health benefits). The flavonoids in cacao help produce neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin, and adrenaline which maintain mental health. The antioxidents and high magnesium levels in cacao support adrenal health – that is easing the stress response of the body.

Magnesium is involved in many processes in the body and increasing magnesium intake can increase energy levels, improve recovery, improve clarity of thought, reduce stress and relax muscles. Many people in the western world don’t consume enough magnesium. It can also help reduce PMS symptoms such as mood swings, irritability and migraines, reduce period pain and support the liver to detoxify excess hormones from the body.

The addition of turmeric and pepper increase the antioxidants in this hot chocolate and increase the taste.
